Good People of Earth and of Elder Inkley’s email list! Today will be a quick little letter mostly because I got the 2nd COVID shot yesterday and it is KICKING MY TRASH! I haven’t felt this sick in forever. Hopefully that means the vaccine is doing what it needs to do. But if I die, I love you all.
We started teaching Jeanne and Vince Pauley this week! We have done some service for them over the past month or so, and they are just in awe of our work ethic and the fact that we do it for free. So we were like “Let us explain to you WHY we do what we do” and they took a Book of Mormon! We have a lesson set up with them later this week, so I’ll let y’all know how that goes.
Okay what else happened this week. Other than the fact that my head is POUNDING, it’s been a good week. We attended a car show in Wentzville this week and talked to a ton of people. I’m not super into cars, but I do think that they’re fascinating. Not just cars, but especially the whole car community. We learned that Elder Hein and I will be staying together another transfer here in Wentzville! We were surprised to hear that news, but we aren’t complaining. To quote a certain Sith Lord from the worst Star Wars trilogy: “A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.” Things are good over here in Missouri!
I passed my 6 month mark the other day. Crazy stuff. A thought that has been on my mind all week is Miracles and how they happen. I think they happen more often than we think, we just have to learn how to see them. For example, it’s a miracle that Laban had a very similar family history to Lehi and his kin. Without it, we would miss some very key lessons taught in the Book of Mormon. But I had never thought of that. It’s all about our own perspective!
Love you all! Have a fantastic week!
Elder Inkley
