So, another chemo treatment today. Vincristine injection into the Iron Man port in his chest.
His numbers continue to look good. We have a 28 minute voice memo Wendy took while the doctor was in visiting, but we will spare you the boredom and just say things are good, he’s progressing like they expect. Standard risk, two more weeks until his 29 day procedure where they check his bone marrow aspirate and make sure the treatments are doing their job.
It’s not all sunshine and roses. He really dislikes sticky stuff on his skin. Like, if hating sticky stuff on your skin was people, he’d be CHINA!!! He frets about the needle they use to access his port, but thanks to the magic numbing cream and a super HAWTT mom, he hasn’t had any pain with it for two weeks, so hopefully he will chill about that. He was at the hospital for a little over two hours.
One video below shows him getting one of the pushes of chemo today. We never want to overshare anything, but this gives you an idea of what it means for him right now to get a chemo treatment. You hear a lot about it. This is what it actually looks like.
